Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing meat for sale, which includes tasks such as deboning, trimming excess fat, cutting, mincing and grinding meat into specific shapes and sizes, either for display or based on customer orders.
- Creating crumbed meat cuts and marinating, seasoning or curing specialty cuts.
- Selecting and preparing meats for smallgoods production.
- Operating various machines for grinding, mixing, mincing and tenderizing meat.
- Handling sausage filling machines, operating smoking chambers and using cooking kettles and vats for different meat processing methods.
