Key Responsibilities

As part of our kitchen brigade, the Chef will play a vital role, collaborating closely with both the Head Chef and Sous Chef. This position involves overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, as well as participating in the daily operational tasks required to ensure smooth kitchen service. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparation, Cooking and Presentation: Preparing, cooking, plating and garnishing dishes to meet our high standards of quality and visual appeal.
  • Supply Management: Receiving and accounting for supplies in line with the business’s operational guidelines.
  • Stock Control: Managing stock rotation and minimizing wastage, while ensuring that your section of the kitchen is well-organized, clean and adheres to food safety regulations.
  • Portion and Cost Control: Maintaining portion control systems and helping manage food costs effectively.
  • Menu Development: Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu development and costing, contributing creative input and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Service Timeliness: Proactively working to ensure that service runs efficiently and on schedule.
  • Team Support: Providing guidance and support to other kitchen team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
